To take a walk down the corridors of nostalgia, USTAA organized its First Alumni Meet on 22 ^nd September, 2019. The welcome address was delivered by Mr. Sankar Sinha, General Secretary, USTAA, inaugural address was delivered by the Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) Mridul Hazarika, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya. A Special address was delivered by Prof. (Dr) Suhail Sabir, Pro Vice Chancellor, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya followed by a speech by alumni namely Dr Nurjaman Laskar, Zayed Choudhury, Parashmoni Hazarika, and the programme was concluded by the Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Arshad Firdous, President, USTAA

Such meet provides an opportunity to the students to interact with alumni and get some exposure about the available opportunities in industry and related areas. At the same time, the alumni also feels good to re-connect with the alma mater and be part of such program. The primary focus of the celebration was to honour the distinguished Alumni who have brought laurels to their alma mater by the excellence in their field as well as to felicitate the Awardees of the University who have made outstanding contribution to the University in their professional spheres.
